Viva La Papa sources it's potatoes from small farms located in the Andean region of Peru. Daily, freshed harvested potatoes are rushed into Viva la papa kitchens. After a wash and scrub, potatoes are sliced into sunflower oil and then cooked by hand in small batches under the supervision of a "Chip Chef".
These chips have no MSG, no GM, no artificial flavorings, no additives. Just natural ingredients and premium freshly picked potatoes.
Andean Pink Salt
Freshly harvested potatoes are rushed from the mountains and sierra to our kitchens in Lima. Here they are scrubbed, sliced and cooked in small kettles with their skin on. Each batch is hand cooked and only our chefs' expert eye judges them to be perfectly ready. Hot from the kettle they are lightly sprinkled with our own pink salt from Maras, near Cusco. This is the salt used by the Incas and handed down to communities who harvest it from pools of water fed by a subterranean stream that originates from an ocean millions of years old. Our salt is packed with minerals and has a delicate, sweet taste.
